Matthew Sivaprakasam

Matthew Sivaprakasam graduated in Aug 2024.

Matthew was an M.S. in Robotics student in the Robotics Institute at Carnegie Mellon University. He graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a B.S. in computer engineering and a minor in biomedical engineering.

His research involved developing robust perception methods for off-road driving. He is passionate about exploring the connections between perception, planning, and control, and their applications in robotics for assisting in dangerous tasks and improving quality of life. He is additionally interested in the roles of artistic and human-inspired concepts in decision-making.

In his free time, he was part of the MIT-PITT-RW autonomous racing team. and also enjoys tennis, table tennis, and playing piano for various student productions.
