About

Mukai Yu is a Master’s student in Robotics co-advised by Professor Sebastian Scherer and Professor László A. Jeni. He obtained Bachelor of Science in Integrative Systems and Design, and Computer Science (Additional Major) from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2024. He used to work as an RA on the WildFire Project in 2023 Jan - Aug, and the 360 Camera Project in 2022 July - Aug. He has participated in various robotics competitions including WRO, RCJ, FLL, FRC(6179 Photon Box), and RoboMaster since elementary school.

He is currently working on Unified Spherical Frontend, a lens-neutral method for pinhole, fisheye, and 360 panoramic cameras.

He loves movies, video games, basketball, and travel in his free time.
