Lucas was a MSR student from Manaus, Brazil. He got his Bachelors in Computer Eng. and a Master in Mech. Eng. from the University of Campinas. He worked in the SLAM subsystem for the DARPA Subterranean Challenge. He hopes to one day deploy some robots in the Amazon Rainforest (his home) to help its conservation and to enable better quality of life for its people.
