Dinesh Varun is an M.S. Research student in Mechanical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. As part of Team Chiron, he works on the DARPA Triage Challenge, focusing on SWaP-constrained UAV exploration for casualty identification and vision-language reasoning for triage assessment of injured casualties in disaster-response scenarios.
Previously, he worked as a Design Engineer at Caterpillar, where he contributed to improving the quality of large-scale mining vehicles.
